The Huawei Watch GT 2 is the brand’s latest smartwatch.

It is busy in ‘wearables land’. Lately, new smartwatches have been continuously launched on the market. For example, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 from Samsung and the Gen 5 Touchscreen Smartwatch from Fossil were presented.

And Huawei is also launching a new example, the Huawei Watch GT 2. This watch has a 3D glass screen and meets the requirements that we currently place on a wearable: properly functioning Bluetooth and extensive monitoring of performance and analysis of data. The design makes us happy anyway: the smartwatch is stylish and comes in different colors and designs (42mm and 46mm).

    3D glass design and monitoring
The 3D glass display has a larger image and a nice look and feel according to Huawei. Incidentally, this is a touchscreen with a screen resolution of 454 x 454 pixels and with that the maker wants to give the feeling of an LCD screen.

You synchronize the Watch GT 2 via Bluetooth with Huawei phones and the special app. The watch can store 500 numbers. You can use the Watch GT 2 for pretty much monitoring all the sports you perform, both indoors and outdoors. The watch monitors about 190 types of data and makes data analyzes before, during and after exercise. You will also receive advice about your sports performance and recovery. We also know this from Garmin watches, for example.

Health management: heart failure and sleep advice
In addition to tracking your sports performance, the smartwatch monitors bradycardia and heart failure. The watch measures your heart rate and if it goes above 100 bpm or below 50 bpm at rest, the user is alerted. You can also view this data in the Huawei Sports and Health App. We also know this from Apple, with the Apple Watch Series 4 you can make heart videos.

Don’t you find it disturbing to keep the watch on while sleeping? Then Huawei also monitors your sleep quality and makes suggestions for sleep improvement. And those who experience a lot of stress keep an eye on the stress index. In that respect, the watch has many more functions than a standard wearable. There seems to be a real battle going on to get everyone to a smartwatch. Then it is of course also useful to have access to more functions than just sports performance tracking.
